Official new music video for “With the Pieces” from our new album Feel You’re Different. We shot this in FL with the great up-and-coming director Dillon Novak. Check it out and share!
New York rock trio Lights Resolve have had their songs on the soundtrack to ‘Jersey Shore,’ featured as a download in ‘Rock Band’ and the group is currently the face for an ad campaign by ZipCar. Today, we have the pleasure of premiering their video for ‘With the Pieces,’ a track from their October-released debut album ‘Feel You’re Different.’
“This song was written fairly quickly in a cabin in upstate New York and continues to be one of our favorite songs on ‘Feel You’re Different,’” singer and guitarist Matthew Reich tells Spinner.
“It is a song about denial, so we decided to go with the concept of being trapped in a box that is soaked in projected images of life events. Even after breaking out of the box we still find ourselves confined by the pieces that we hoped we had left behind. We had a good time playing with the idea of a mystery box a la ‘Pulp Fiction’ or ‘Se7en.’ Now we get to turn the lens on you and ask, ‘What’s in your box?’”
Even though it doesn’t sound remotely like it was made in a cabin upstate, perhaps because Bon Iver cornered that market with their uniquely wistful sound, we’ll take Lights Resolve’s word for it. Conversely, the plugged-in guitar screamer is accompanied by hi-tech visuals, projected images, and mirrors. -AOL/SPINNER
